"Respond to ICT support requests from all areas of the college and communicating with the ICT Support team.
Assist in maintaining and cleaning hardware as part of scheduled maintenance.
Assist in keeping ICT Support areas (offices & store rooms) organised and tidy.
Work with and assist the college’s ICT team with maintaining resources by uploading, deleting and creating new resources for the VLE as and when required.
Work with and assist the ICT Support Technicians to maintain and support hardware and software and support users.
Report to ICT Manager and members of the ICT Support team for management of workload and planned jobs.
Advise users on best practice for using hardware, software and eResources in line with ICT Support Policies / Procedures and provide one to one or small group training or demonstrations to staff members as and when requested.
Be active in researching new technologies and eResources that might be useful for staff/students and making recommendation or demonstrating to members of the ICT Support team
Attend various internal and external meetings related to this post including conferences, trade shows and presentations if required.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer care provided by the ICT support team. This will include being able to communicate effectively at all levels, promote best practice, and obtain and monitor customer feedback.
To take active responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults in College.
To undertake such personal staff development as is agreed to be necessary for the development of the role and the individual.
To regularly review, adapt, and improve systems and procedures.
